Website without a cookie banner: how we built ours

You may have noticed: no cookie banner appeared when you opened this website. That is not an oversight. There is simply nothing here you would need to consent to. The new hashfox.com sets no cookies, loads no fonts from Google and not a single script from third-party servers.

A website without a cookie banner: run everything yourself

Behind it sits one plain decision: run everything yourself. The site lives on our own infrastructure in Germany, fonts and images come off our own machines, and we count visitors anonymously with Umami, an analytics tool that works without cookies and runs on our servers rather than at a third party.

In practice that means every page is rendered on the server and arrives in your browser as finished HTML. The animations run on the GPU, so they cost you nothing in loading time. And because nothing gets fetched from elsewhere along the way, there is nothing that could carry your data anywhere.

Proof, not promise

To us, this site is more than a new look. It shows that modern web experience and strict privacy go together: fast on a phone, alive on a desktop, and still fully GDPR-compliant without a single banner.
